Dragons This baby dragon is a adorable character created by a user with the name Hypnoosis on Deviantart: hypnoosis.deviantart.com/ I drew this picture many years before 2015. It’s a green dragon floating in space, looking down at the world she has been given to protect. This scene was originally supposed to take place underwater but it looks like the two characters are racing on top of the water instead. This dragon has the ability to mimic the coloring of other animals, including its fish friend if it wanted to! The colors are based on the mimic octopus. This is an eastern dragon who has the ability of telekinesis and uses her powers to create armor and weapons for her allies. After a long day, an anthro dragon decides to take a rest in a large tree. In the background you can see the castle he lives in, so this position high in a tree gives him a great view of his home. This dragon is armed and ready for battle! He not only is adept at using swords, but he also possesses a little bit of magic (hence the presence of the staff on the ground). A crawling dragon basks in the last rays of the sunset, preparing for a long night of darkness. These dragons are excellent swimmers, but like to spend a lot of time exploring land on the shores and rocks. An older dragon decided to take its apprentice out for some training in the fields. It’s important for young dragons to learn how to control their magic for flying early on since being able to hover high in the sky can save them from danger. Flying without wings is more difficult, so they spend more time training to fly than dragons who have wings. My sister and I saw a cute puffed-up roadrunner at the ABQ biopark a while back. She suggested I draw a roadrunner dragon, so here it is! Roadrunners are such cute birds! I went through a period where I combined insects and dragons to create very interesting hybrids, like this one. I like mantids and dragons, but I think this type of dragon would be pretty terrifying to come across! This is a phoenix dragon. She has the ability to rise up from her ashes after death and summon powerful deities. This is a medieval dragon. She has venom in her fangs and the ability to carry her sword via telekinesis. This group of cats likes to go on adventures together! They all have helmets that allow them to transform into mighty dragons for short periods of time. All their dragon forms have special abilities and really help this group out if they find themselves in a jam 🙂 This is an amphibious dragon. She has the ability to breathe underwater and acts as a liaison between aquatic and terrestrial societies. This is a fairy dragon. She has the ability to heal wounds and infections. I’m a big fan of both insects and dragons and I’ve always loved the idea of combining the two. I’m not sure exactly what the insect is though the colors are based on an Io moth. The plant in the background is a terrifying version of a yucca plant. Dragons are cool in and of themselves, but if they have extra abilities, like magic, it makes them even cooler! This particular dragon has telekinesis and can use that staff to cast spells. But she has to be careful–even dragons have a limited amount of magic they can use. These dragons are based off of ratites since they only have two legs and wings (though they look more like dragon-fied chocobos). They can’t fly with those tiny wings, but they have plenty of other traits that help them survive. A dragon with some phoenix friends looking at a “Grand” treasure chest. They went on quite a long adventure to find it…I hope whatever is in it is worth it! A burrowing dragon took its children to the edge of its territory to bask in the rising sun. Although they spend most of their time underground, they do like to spend a lot of time in the fresh air. A long-necked rainbow bird hovers over a dark flower. I’m not sure what the relationship between the bird and the insect is, but I sure hope that little bug isn’t the bird’s dinner! The wings on this dragon are backwards which reflect this dragon’s quirky personality! She’s very incompetent and generally has no clue where she’s going in life. But everything she does is very entertaining to those around her. This dragon is just lurking in the water, staring at something to try and entice it to come closer. The tentacles have deadly poisons on them and this dragon uses them to paralyze its prey before consuming it. Although they have beautiful colors, it’s best to stay far away from this species.
